01Description

The Salle Poirel includes a 1,000-seat concert hall and exhibition/conference centre. It was built in 1889 by the architect A. Jasson. The style is typical of the Ecole de Nancy. The hall is entirely restored, and fitted with modern stage machinery to meet the needs of today's performances. The buildings of the Orchestre Lyrique de Lorraine are renovated, with independent rehearsal rooms. The skylights have been revised and made secure. The rearrangement of the spaces gives more room to the galleries, which opened for the Centenary of the Ecole de Nancy.
